UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce calls for volunteers for Testing Workstream
Launch of the Testing Workstream offers an opportunity for volunteers to be involved in the delivery of T+1 in the UK
The UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce has issued a call for volunteers to join the new Testing Workstream, as it continues to deliver on the T+1 Implementation plan for the UK transition from T+2 to T+1 securities settlement.
The Testing Workstream, co-led by Charles Pugh at Euroclear UK and International and Alex Chow from JP Morgan, will create a testing plan for the beginning of 2026, a crucial part of the transition to T+1 that will ensure market and system readiness.
Andrew Douglas, Chair of the Accelerated Settlement Taskforce comments: “We are pleased to be launching the Testing Workstream that will play a key part in the delivery of accelerated settlement in the UK, and invite volunteers to express their interest.
Our workstreams are made up of experienced individuals, whose expertise is vital in guiding the Taskforce and ensuring a smooth transition to T+1.”

The first meeting will take place at 14:00 on 6 October and will recur weekly thereafter.
